You can park in the main car park at the National Trust site near the cafe. Parking is £2 for three hours or £4 for the whole day. Members of the National Trust park for free.

How far is the site from the car park?

The Forest School site is a 20 minute walk from the car park. (toddler pace)

Can I bring a stroller?

Yes, you can, but make sure it is a stroller that can go off-road as we are in the woods and paths can be uneven and muddy.

Can I drop off my child?

No. Whispering Woods is a group for both parent and child. Children need to be supervised by their parent or guardian at all times during the forest school session.

What should I wear?

Forest school runs in all sorts of weathers so please come appropriately dressed. ( both adult and child) Waterproofs, wellies and extra dry clothes are always a good option. There are a lot of brambles so long-sleeved trousers and shirts are preferable to keep from scratches.

Can Siblings Come to Whispering woods?

Siblings are welcome but any additional sibling between the ages of 0 and 5 years must also be enrolled. Siblings have a 30% discount and under ones come free if they have an older fully paying sibling.

Can someone else bring my child to Whispering Woods other than me?

Yes of course! We welcome moms, dads, grandparents, nannies, aunties, whoever is caring for your child.
